About

Contemporary Australian Studio Potter, Artist.

My current studio practice focuses on wheel thrown vessels in porcelain and stoneware, both functional and sculptural.

My inspiration comes from living in a coastal region, surrounded by Wetlands, a Creek and the Bay in Melbourne.

The direction in my fine inlay work, focuses on line primarily, to communicate a varied dialogue responding to my natural surroundings.

My love of forming perfect circles, creating forms with concentric circles is what fascinates me about wheel work. Throwing a centred form, feeling the clay slide through my fingers, evens my breathe and centres my spirit.

Modernist forms, Textiles, and an interest in ancient history are present in my work and are a constant source of fascination.

Creating work that has warmth, a quiet stillness, but still resonates strength is important to me.
