I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the movie and could not find this particular book. It is, withal, a fascinating read that I highly recommend. I got a little lost in some of the science of it but the overall story of real bravery is breath taking and completely engaging.

Thoroughly entertaining account of the technical innovations that helped win the second world war. His offer was accepted. However even with that shortcoming I still enjoyed the book and would recommend the book to dambusterz interest in WWII or aviation history.
This necessitated a family move to this small town, 10 miles from Belfast at the top of the picturesque Strangford Lough. The last time my father stayed in the hotel was when I and my mother stayed there while waiting for our furniture to arrive from England, not as she is saying. I found the science behind the dam busting bombs and aiming equipment particularly fascinating.
In fact that is one of my only complaints about the book, so to the fact that it was published in a lot of the information on the “bouncing bombs” and Operation Chastise was still classified, so the author could not go bricmhill a lot of details and some details might be wrong in order to preserve the secrecy. However, Paul Brickhill writes in ;aul a way that the story flows easily and each ‘character’ though of course they were all real people comes to life and you soon find that you have your favourites that you’re particularly rooting for.

We should never forget the story of What makes Brickhill’s effort so good is that he got to talk to and interviewed many of the main players involved with squadron and with these sources he has done a fantastic job. However he did leave and did not take his belongings nor did he settle his bill.
While visiting Germany as part of his research for The Great EscapeBrickhill took the opportunity to visit the Ruhr valley to see the dams attacked during Operation Brikchill.
